Lands & Labyrinths

RESCHEDULED TO September, 2020

5:00-7:00 PM

Nestled in the woods not far from the Yahara River sits the home of Mary Binkley and Dennis Petzke. Relax in this secluded sanctuary and embrace the healing effects of nature.  On this field trip you can choose to take a guided hike (medium difficulty) down to the river to see an eagle's nest, springs, and view Cherokee Marsh from a different perspective, or if quiet reflection is more your speed, calm your spirit by walking the outdoor labyrinth, or do both.  A delightful campfire will warm you as dusk falls, and a simple meal of hot dogs, salad, and roasted marshmallows will be provided (or bring your own food to cook in the fire), to be enjoyed with others who love nature. Around the warm glow of the fire you'll hear the story of this special place being protected.

Where: 5754 River Road, Waunakee, WI

What to Bring: Dress for the weather. A camp chair, hiking boots (or snowshoes if there is still snow on the ground), and walking stick is encouraged.

This is a FREE event! Pre-registration below is encouraged; it will keep you updated on any changes to the event and help us know how many snacks to get.
