National Trails Day - Hickory Hill Hike

Saturday, June 1, 2019

10:00AM - 12:00PM

National Trails Day is the only nationally coordinated event designed to unite all muscle-powered trail activities with the goal of connecting more people to trails. Every trail beckons adventure and has a story to share with any person willing to discover it, and American Hiking Society believes these trail experiences can improve the lives of every American.

Groundswell is joining the movement this year and inviting you to join us on a 2.6 mile hike at Hickory Hill near Cross Plains. This forested trail is lightly trafficked, enjoyable for most skill levels (steep climb up at the beginning), and even allows your dog to join you!

Where: 2425 Hikory Hill St., Cross Plains, WI 53528

What to Bring: Dress for the weather. Hiking boots or study walking shoes and a water bottle are encouraged.

Guide: Kevin Thusius manages the Land program by protecting lands for the Ice Age Trail, monitoring Ice Age Trail Alliance easements and managing lands owned by the Alliance.
